A Regular Thing

Vanessa Nichols is a determined and ambitious photography student at Boston Central University, eager to make a name for herself in the world of nature photography. When she gets assigned the position of being the official photographer for the university's men's hockey team, it's not necessarily a dream come true. And to make matters worse, she discovers that not only does she have to spend the entire season with the team, but she also has to deal with Jake Shepherd-the charismatic defenseman she almost hooked up with a few weeks ago. Jake "Shep" Shepherd is known for two things: hockey and girls. As Boston Central University's star defenseman, girls practically fall at his feet. He's not used to being turned down, so when a fiery brunette leaves him with his ego bruised, Jake can't seem to shake her out of his head. And when that same girl gets assigned to work with his hockey team, tension begins to rise between the two of them.

Jake and Vanessa come to find that they have more in common than they thought, an unlikely friendship quickly becomes more. Their initial attraction leads them down a path of temptation and desire, but Vanessa's past relationships have left her wary of getting too close, preferring to keep things casual and carefree.

As they navigate their friendship, Vanessa and Jake must confront their own fears and insecurities. Will they be able to resist the pull of their emotions, or will they succumb to the inevitable and admit that what they have is more than just a regular thing?
