Jim Charles’ Gold

This story is a thriller based on actual events. In 1870, Jim Charles was an Indian Guide and Tracker who lived in the wilds of North Eastern Canada. On one of his jaunts into the forest, he found gold, or "Brown Silver" as he called it. One of his trusted clients, Judge Ritchie, helped him keep his secret by depositing it for him in a local bank. But when the temptation to spend it became too great, the news of his great discovery spread like wildfire. Soon, the woods were swarming with men who were willing to stop at nothing to learn Jim's secret, including murdering him and his entire family.
