Murder in Budapest is the fourth 'Jack France Mystery'. It is 1929 and Jack France has been invited by his friend, John Clifford, to take part in the Hungarian motorcycle hill climb. After some deliberation Jack accepts John's invitation and plans are put in place. A week or two in the Chilterns for practice and Jack and his team of Grainger and Franks are are almost ready. Once in Hungary, however, things begin to unravel. Clifford's man, Gordon is injured and swiftly taken to the local clinic in Budapest. Jack spots one or two chinks in the events around Gordon's accident and begins to doubt whether the injured man in the Budapest clinic is indeed, Gordon; but if it isn't Gordon, who is it and where is Gordon?
