Observers from such expert groups as Minority Rights Group International, Genocide Watch, Prevent Genocide International, and the UN expert on Genocide have expressed concern that the situation in the Ivory Coast has the potential to develop into genocide. An analysis of the crisis with a set of key indicators of genocide published by the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) support this conclusion.'
