This book is a study of the relationship between recreation and juvenile delinquency in five selected Chicago communities. Commissioned by the Chicago Recreation Commission, it provides insights into the factors that contribute to the delinquency of young people and ways to develop effective recreation programs. The findings of the research are relevant not only to Chicago but to other metropolitan areas facing similar challenges with delinquency.
