ad-ven-ture: noun 1. An unusual, exciting, sometimes hazardous, experience or activity. Adventures described in this book required an intrepid mind-set, extensive planning, financing, and/or physical training. Some were hazardous. Each is unique to what is experienced by the general population (most people only hear about these things).
