Amazon Book Description SCHAEFFER COX, a well-traveled political organizer and human rights activist from Alaska, loves adventure. In his twenties, he led several mountaineering expeditions to the summit of the world’s coldest, most windblown, highest peak at 20,310 feet-Denali. A fun-loving explorer, he and several close friends had a Mount Everest expedition set for the spring of 2012. However, Cox was thrown in prison after speaking out against the state police and their corrupt, drug-trafficking operations, which also involved supplying children for sex to numerous bureaucrats in exchange for those officials’ continued concealment of the police drug dealing. Cox spent years in solitary confinement after being accused of conspiring against the government. In 2013, he was moved to a prison in Illinois known as Little Guantanamo, which houses only thirty-eight prisoners and is listed among the top-ten worst prisons in the world by organizations that track torture and human-rights violations. Cox’s communications have been heavily censored by the prison to prevent him from telling his full story. In 2016, after briefly speaking to a reporter by phone, Cox was severely punished and additional time was added to his twenty-six-year sentence. The arrest and imprisonment of Cox has drawn international criticism, and several countries have recognized him as an innocent political prisoner. These handwritten lyrics were once believed to be lost forever, according to prison staff. Miraculously, they were later found by some unknown person with access to the prison system and ended up in the hands of a publisher. We will not know how this all went down until Cox is released and can tell us in his own words, outside the all-hearing ear of Big Brother. https: //freeschaeffer.com/
