Love, Revolution, & Lemonade is a collection of poetry, prose, and musings all wrapped in passion. Passion for Love, passion for Revolution, and passion for taking the bitterness of life and making Lemonade. It is a book that I have been waiting to write, and I couldn’t finish this book until I felt that I was finally free to say everything that I wanted to say. Love, Revolution, & Lemonade speaks candidly about Love, heartache, sex, and romance. I have written openly about being a Black woman, fighting for Revolution and liberation and balancing my passion and desires all while screaming, No Justice. No Peace. Love, Revolution, & Lemonade covers the bitterness of mistakes and failures and how to take defeat and use it to propel you towards your destiny.This is the book that I have wanted to write my entire life. Love, Revolution, & Lemonade is a book for all people that refuse to color inside the lines and who are brave to step out and see what they can become. I am a woman that lives her life in shades of gray, but when I speak, I speak in color. My tongue is like a loom, and it weaves words of indigo, crimson, bronze, and gold. When I write, I write marvelous shades of magenta and marigold and periwinkle and rose. Everything is bursting in color. I use these words to light my path in the darkness, using the words to illuminate my soul.I am a woman that is trying, that is striving, that is living…that is becoming.All I did was take the lemons that life handed me and made Lemonade.So, I dare you to make Lemonade.
