David Garvin’s stories have been published in Pleiades ( Pentecost Night ), Literal Latte ( Jersey Street ), and Zuzu’s Petals ( Thuggish Cuckoos ). He has read his work at KGB, NYC. One of his stories won the 1st Place National Story Award presented by Birmingham College ( Palo Mayombe ). Another, Coyote’s Lair, Mojave, a novella, was a semifinalist in The Paris Prize 2013, while his short story, White Sun, won a partial scholarship to the Dzanc Books/CNC DISQUITE International Literary Program in Lisbon Summer 2013. Garvin lived in Yucatan for most of the Seventies, where he owned a restaurant. He has written four plays, three of which were produced in NYC: Malecon and High Jolly at Theatre Genesis and Lawless William at La Mama ETC.
