Recollections of a protagonist journeyed through Los Angeles, Calif. on public transportation. The author logged hundreds of miles of bus and light rail trips through metropolitan Los Angeles. He was inspired to link the poetry and prose as he remembered a Middle Ages author, Boethius, that he studied at Harvard in The Consolation of Philosophy, a Menippean Satire that regularly alternates prose and verse.
