Froyo Bagpants is a halfbit with a problem. The magic ring left to him by his uncle Bobo is actually the Schnozring, the ring which could bring Central Oith under the domination of the Great and Powerful Schnoz. Now Froyo must leave his happy home in the Mire and destroy the Schnozring by pitching it into the fire pit of Mount Drool.

Froyo and Grandkopf the Gray, wizard extraordinaire, set off early one morning to travel to Clovendell to enlist the elves in their attempt to save Central Oith. Unfortunately, the Great and Powerful Schonz has discovered that Froyo possesses the Schnozring. Froyo and Grandkopf are pursued by dangerous enemies intent on obtaining the Schnozring over Froyo’s dead body.

Froyo finds allies along the way. At the Council Without El Round, five companions are chosen to help Froyo in his quest to destroy the ring. Froyo and his buddies are the Six Pack of Central Oith, and they are going to destroy the Schnozring and save Central Oith… or die trying.

The Schnoz of the Rings is a hilarious retelling of Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings. It is the first book of the Schnozring Trilogy, which includes New Ring Rising (II) and Ring War (III).
