This book is an autobiography account of historical interest for many generations depicting the life and love as the author recalls it from the twenties to the nineties. This book is about a boy born to a well to do family in the twenties, leaving a broken home in the thirties, and enlisting in the Amy in the forties. The author relates his experiences during World War II in North Africa, Sicily and Italy, followed by his exit from the service when he attends school and gets married. He is recalled to the Army in the fifties, serves in Korea then remains in the service for service in Viet Nam in the sixties where he was seriously wounded and medically boarded. His recovery period and civilian activities are related in the seventies, eighties and nineties. Throughout the story runs a theme of devotion to his wife and family, and the assistance given from his military comrades. Although the units are not specifically named in the book, the author has served in or with the following US Army Units.
