The World According to Gus

This story is one that has been waiting inside all of us who question the dominance of religion in the world. The messages most of us learned growing up are overdue to be examined. This novel leads the reader into a new way of viewing self in the context of who we really are and who or what forces are guiding our lives. The story begins when a sport’s writer has an unexpected visitor drop in as he is working on an article for the local paper. That visitor was a voice requesting his assistance in reporting the truth about the nature of the creative force of the universe known as God by many. The word God has been so misused that this voice, talking to the sports writer, cringes when introducing itself as the voice of God. As the writing project continues they agree to change God’s name to GUS because it would put into question all that had been claimed to have been said by God by so many who had no idea what they were talking about. Come on this enlightened journey so that you can be released from the false beliefs of the past and instead, find your way to a more empowering relationship with the guiding force of the universe.
