He imagines what he needs and then finds the items; old trousers, a striped top, a belt, a hat, a parrot etc. He starts off in his bedroom, but as he gets more pirate things he goes into his imagination and becomes a pirate on a desert island. The artwork is a mixture of photographs and hand drawn illustrations. The book is English and French back to back so you can flip the book over and read in the other language.
