We Are Basketball is a photo story about the transition to manhood through basketball. It follows the Varese under 18 team for an entire season of the top Italian youth league, as they are coached by Dodo Rusconi, one of the legends of Italian basketball history who played in the 1970 Intercontinental Cup winning Pallacanestro Varese squad. In this, his final season of coaching, the boys head to the national finals, and to international play, with many ending the season by signing their first professional contracts.
