The Muses: Vengeance of Time

Sarah and Nickolas McGuire-ages ten and twelve, respectively-find themselves facing a new set of adventures when they realize that just escaping Great-Aunt Vivian’s manor house was not the end of the story. Their cousin, Simon, falls gravely ill as a result of his time captured by Vivian and her experiments.

Sarah and Nickolas, along with several of the Muses must solve the mystery of how to cure Simon. Along the way they discover that not only their cousin, but all the inhabitants of Great-Aunt Vivian’s manor are falling ill, and that they have very little time to find a cure before it is too late.

The quest for a cure leads them to dig into their family’s past as they try to track down the scientific research of their great-grandfather, Dr. Christopher Montague, leading them to Chicago University and then back to Montague Manor and finally into the cross hairs of Dr. James and Great-Aunt Vivian once again.

Part magical fantasy adventure, part sci-fi thriller, The Muses is an entirely intriguing and entertaining series that will captivate young and young-at-heart readers alike, and remind them how otherwise ordinary people can often accomplish the extraordinary just by being themselves.
