The reason we act the way we do is that we are not intelligent enough to act otherwise. This is like saying that the reason a person is not able to lift a box of a certain weight is that he is not strong enough to do so. It becomes evident that everything in the world, a situation, a conflict, a challenge, a solution, an idea or concept, has a weight associated with it. If any of the challenges in the world (the conflict in the middle east, income inequality, bullying, racism, hate, deceit…) weigh 200 pounds, and the leaders in the world can exercise 210 pounds in solutions, solving the problem would be very easy, especially because leaders have the power (policy, dialogue, vision) to effect change. If a person is at 150 pounds, he should not grapple with a 200 pound challenge. He should begin an exercise regimen - a thought regimen. Of course, one would wonder if our focus had been to design for a person an exercise regimen capable of making him more intelligent than the complexities in front of him.
