Deviling the Devil

A young girl recovers from the trauma of childhood rape by writing anonymous letters as reprisal. By the time she finishes her writing missive, the first body had been cold a long time. She had some idea who had committed the murder. She knew the girl who worked at Nettles' Truck Stop and knew the man worked at the Paper Mill in Natchez. She wrote with the energy of the exalted. She had seen something in the Concordia Post or the Natchez Advocat about an unsolved Klan crime, and now wanted to devil the devil. Poison is the chosen weapon of women. She wondered now if poisoned pen letters could be considered like a smoking gun.

What starts off almost as a childish prank becomes the key to a series of murders within the Ku Klux Klan, putting her again in harms way.
