Kathie, Jamie and six-year old Amelia leave with their parents to drive 1200 km to South West Rocks on the coast. They encounter a violent storm and a red fog that envelops them. When they emerge, they find that they have reached their destination, but there is no town, no signs of civilisation, no campsite, but their parents seem unaware that anything is wrong.
