I Stood Alone

In 1994, an African American family is involved in a violent altercation with members of a White supremacy gang in Toledo, Ohio. When one of the members of the gang is killed, three of the family members are charged and convicted of his death.

Never before having been incarcerated and sentenced to nine to twenty-five years in prison. The protagonist must learn how to survive in the volatile prison subculture of rape, prostitution, and murder.
