An Indispensable Man

Preston Waddington well understood that corporate survival in the auto industry meant finding a way to make himself indispensable. That objective, however, did not include becoming involved in a product defect cover up, having an affair with the CEO’s wife, finding himself in the middle of a law suite, stumbling across a scam involving his father-in-law the car dealer, confronting a hostile dealer body and, finally, facing the prospect of being invited by the board of directors to fall on his sword.
