Thirty-six lessons in developing soul powers from one of the foremost teachers of the twentieth century, with three lessons by Joel S. Goldsmith and illustrative material by Mark C. W. Sleep. Thought creates, and right thought creates happiness. Henry Thomas Hamblin and his friend Joel S. Goldsmith are two of the most popular writers on the path of the mystic and meditator from the middle years of the Twentieth Century. Enormously influential in new thought, books by Hamblin such as Within You Is The Power and Message Of A Flower have sold approaching a million copies worldwide. While Goldsmith is mainly remembered as a healer and for leading his students towards the discipline of meditation, Hamblin is famous for what he himself called ‘Applied Right Thinking’. A little magazine called The Science Of Thought Review has continued to carry the Hamblin teaching to new generations of readers from the very early days to the present day, although it has more recently been known as New Vision. Tens of thousands of people attest to the affect Hamblin’s words have had on their lives. Most of Hamblin’s printed works were short distillations, but recently a thirty six lecture plan for developing mystical insight and wisdom had resurfaced. Mark C. W. Sleep, one of the Trustees of the Hamblin Trust, has edited these and provided an illustration of the main point of the lesson, taken from daily life, to set alongside each. Furthermore, three of Joel Goldsmith’s lectures which formed part of the original programme have been included in the book so there is material also for the Goldsmith fan. As presented, these lessons are not for the original seekers who heard them in the twentieth century. They are for the seeker now, who wishes to move out of the painful competition that dominates everyday life, and find real quality of life - within. As a programme, they are unique.
