In a world of ordinary, Amanda discovers she's extraordinary. Get ready for a spellbinding ride! Amanda Anders takes center stage in this witchy YA adventure-perfect for fans of magic, mischief, and a little romance. Between mastering spells, navigating quirky friendships, and training at a top-tier culinary school in San Francisco, Amanda's life is anything but ordinary. But when she discovers the father she thought was dead is actually alive-and part of a powerful witch clan-her world turns upside down. Now, she's up against a ruthless villain holding her father hostage. But this bad guy has no idea who he's messing with. Amanda's about to serve up some serious magic, and she's not afraid to bring the heat.

Reviews from pre release readers ...

I really love how feisty Amanda is about her life, especially when she meets her weirdo relatives. Everybody has oddballs in their family but hers are over the top. Of course the fact that they're witches makes it all a lot of fun, and strangely believable.

Ever since Sabrina The Teenage Witch came on TV I've loved witch stories and "Recipe For A Witch" hits the sweet spot for witchy stories. How can you not love Amanda and her whole family? The story pulled me right in but I especially liked all the characters (even the non witch ones). Amanda is one girl who can take control, even when she's faced with a formidable foe. I hope there's a follow up story soon.

This is a witch story with a lot of bite, yes, but also a sweet love story in the mix. Amanda is a great character. I loved her first person voice. So engaging and so almost post teen. Her boyfriend and her witch family are all believable (yes ... even tho' they're "special") and the descriptions of food add a delicious extra element. Culinary school was never better than when Amanda's around.
