When werewolves attacked Sarah Aspen's tribe, the Amara Tribe, she was 18 years old. Her tribe lived not far from Austin, Texas. Just there, in the vicinity of the West Mountain pack. They had no idea that the attack had been prepared for years.

Sarah is a leopard, a shifter, and a powerful alpha. They were all shifters. The two werewolf packs had united to exterminate all Shifters; they had a fierce hatred for them. Everybody but Sarah, who somehow managed to flee.

She spent a few days hiding out in the bush before moving towards the city in search of her kin. She was unaware of how far the Wolves had advanced. They occupied cities, transformed the most powerful people, and exterminated the less powerful people.

Cities are no longer in use; instead, they have been abandoned so that vegetation can engulf the abandoned structures. She decides to remain hidden. Rouge to turn. She flees, struggles, and manages to live.
