Toasters: 1909-1960

Industrial designs common to nearly every household include toasters. In this book they are presented historically and visually through an amusing text and artistic photographs. The chapters present hundreds of toasters that pinch, whirl, slide, tip, flop, drop, and pop sliced bread through their mechanisms. Toaster manufacturers are identified and their markings, some now famous, are included. Collectors of toaster are becoming more numerous as some toaster designs are recognized as industrial art.
