Idaho is a state with many varied interests vying for political control. Whether it be in the politically liberal north, the staunchly conservative south-east or the rapidly changing southwest of the state, the social and political factors that determine who gains power in the Gem state often flies in the face of logic and makes for an interesting study in contrasts.
