Reading Peirce Reading

The founder of American pragmatism, C.S. Peirce, lived as an eccentric, but thought as a dedicated communitarian. In Reading Peirce Reading, Richard Smyth demonstrates that Peirce’s early essays presuppose a very distinctive perspective on the history of philosophy.
