Like the making of a lei, E Ho'i ka U'i interweaves diverse perspectives on place and placemaking from published texts, mo'olelo (stories), mele (songs), ‘olelo no'eau (proverbs), hua'olelo (terminology), and interviews with built environment professionals and Hawaiian cultural practitioners.
