Promising Practices

This book is about promising practices: progress and activities that work. The twenty-three articles written especially for this volume describe successes in the teacher education efforts of that uniquely American tertiary institution: the liberal arts college. Dedicated to high quality teaching and individualized learning, these colleges and universities have been able to respond to calls for reform while at the same time providing evidence that what is right in teacher education may be disproportionately found in abundance on their campuses.
