Alleghany County, Virginia, Marriages, 1822-1872

This book contains a list of marriage records compiled from various original documents pertaining to Alleghany County, which was formed in 1822 from parts of Botetourt, Bath and Monroe Counties, Virginia. It includes 5,649 names of those involved, 113 are ministers. These pages offer a careful abstraction of the marriages recorded in the first marriage register of Alleghany County. Photostats of the original records have been included for comparison and reference.
