He was the most remarkable and distinguished among the patriarchs before the flood; for his eminent godliness and excelling piety; for his short life and God’s taking him to heaven without seeing death. He was a man of God, a zealous prophet of the Lord and preached earnestly to the sinners of his day of the coming of Christ to judgment.
