Other Victorian Authors and Major Victorian Debates: A Supplement

Other Victorian Authors and Major Victorian Debates was designed as a supplement to Nassaar’s anthology of major Victorian authors. This work concentrates on the lesser known Victorian writers and the debates that dominated the intellectual landscape of the Victorian period. A brief representative sample of each author’s work is provided, including longer sections on D.G. Rossetti and Swinburne. Various readings from multiple fields provide a comprehensive view of the debates over Evolution and Christianity, Industrialism and Materialism, and the Status of Women.
