A beautiful collection of 20 cards and envelopes depicting 5 stunning botanical paintings contained within a keepsake tin box. The name of the painting is given on the back of every card and from left to right are A Study of Vinca, Rosa x reversa, A Study of Lathyrus odoratus, Rose eglanteria var. punicea and A Study of Primula Sinensis. The common names of the flowers are primulas, old roses, sweetpeas and wild briar roses. The inside of each card is left blank so that it can be used for any occasion. The card images feature wonderful paintings by the well-known Victorian botanical artist Pierre Joseph Redoute (each design is shown below).
