Radioactive Materials in Engineered and Environmental Systems

This book will present an expert discussion and review on the current knowledge of radioactive materials under these differing conditions and their impact on both their safe long-term storage and the environment in which the material resides. The book will benefit the reader by serving as a reference text detailing the behaviour of nuclear material existing across the entire range of controlled and dynamic external (environmental) conditions. This topic is exceptionally important given; (i) the large volumes of material stored at sites both in the UK and globally, and (ii) the recent radiological releases that have occurred (planned and unplanned) from nuclear installations around the world.
