The Advance of African Capital: The Growth of Nigerian Private Enterprise

This work provides a detailed, extensive account of medium- and large-scale African business. It examines the growth of enterprise in Nigeria, giving profiles of Nigeria’s key entrepreneurs and describing the strategies and patterns of accumulation they have employed from the colonial period to the present day. Through case studies from different locations and communities, the text discusses the various forms of capital accumulation and sectoral advances in trade, transport, manufacure, agriculture, finance and other service activities.
