The Owl That Didn't Give a Hoot tells the charming story of Owen, a not-so-great horned owl who struggles with one important owl trait: hooting. Despite his best efforts, Owen can't seem to master the art of the hoot, and the Great Council of Owls banishes him. Determined to find his place, Owen seeks refuge with relatives, only to be turned away by their busy lives. After an unexpected encounter with a Wise Old Owl, Owen returns home and unexpectedly saves the day by hooting out a warning, proving that he truly cares. In the end, Owen becomes the hooting champion.
