In the style of In Search of Excellence and Built to Last the first edition of First XI identified 11 Australian organisations as winners and provided comprehensive analysis of their winning framework. The companies and organisations included: Brambles, Woolworths, Rio Tinto and the SalvationArmy. Now, more than three years later, the authors re-examine their choices to see whether indeed their analysis holds true. Have these companies continued to perform in all the areas that put them in the original First XI?
