Cold in the Heads

Lady P is a scientist, inventor, and engineer - but above all a fun-loving and youthful grandmother. But she doesn’t see the funny side when the dead body of a youngish woman turns up on board a sailing boat belonging to her daughter. And when the body is finally identified, a number of prominent people in the local community, even in the University or local Council could be suspected of being involved. Even Inspector Plummer cannot prevent Lady P’s natural inquisitiveness landing her in deep water - and in hospital. But gradually clues surface and a picture begin to emerge, with very unpleasant ramifications for all concerned. Dry wit and nautical lore run through this mystery, as the plot twists and turns around the cast of memorable Scots characters.
