Can You Really Hear Me?: Overcoming Obstacles as an Hearing Impaired Individual

The purpose of my books is to bring awareness to the deaf and hard of hearing community throughout the world. This will help us and others to understand the value of what it’s like to have this type of social disability. There are things that drive us to want to do better in life, but there are people unwilling to give us opportunities to utilize our skills and apply our mindsets. It’s like they push us to the side as if we are invisible just to make life easier for themselves. That’s not how life works.It is also very important to be familiar with the laws and policies toward discrimination in order to protect ourselves. We must know our rights and enforce the law when people try to downgrade us.We are not asking for sympathy. We are simply asking for respect, an opportunity to fulfill our destinies, and the same privileges that others are receiving.
