The Dragon and the Unicorn

In the realm of Granvale, there’s an ancient myth about the beating heart of the planet. Many believe that the planet is sentient-and that it is angered by the tyranny of Granvale’s queen, Penelope. While the other kingdoms of their world are known for dragons, gryphons, and dolphins, the people of Granvale are magically bonded with one special creature-the unicorn. This extraordinary bond has been corrupted by Penelope’s insistence that unicorns remain subservient to their riders.

The unicorn Kimanga and her rider, Kalus, don’t believe in Penelope’s restrictions. They know that humans and unicorns must be equal for the magical bond to work. And their rebellion runs even deeper, further rousing the queen’s anger. Kimanga loves the stallion Athler, and unicorns are forbidden to love horses. When Penelope discovers the truth, Kimanga, Athler, and Kalus are forced to flee to the border between Granvale and Draconia, the dragon kingdom.

In this strange and enchanted place, the three will discover the truth behind the mythology of their planet. It will take the combined efforts of both kingdoms to find balance and harmony once again and bring light and laughter back to Granvale.
