This Life of Mine: A story of love, dance, and survival.

This is a story of many loves; the love of dance and the grueling life of a New York dancer, a love of life and a love of family and a battle to survive. From a conservative childhood in her native Toronto, the author describes her initial love of dance, the sacrifice of her childhood to that dream and the beginnings of her dance career and early life in Toronto. After being accepted at the Julliard School, she is thrust into New York City in the late 1960’s. She takes us through the ups and downs of learning to fit in in the City. Meeting a magician who she later marries, she describes the shock of her parents as she travels to Europe and the Middle East. This incredible story follows the author and her husband through a devastating series of accidents, health crises and several near death experiences. As well there is the joy of a new family and an unending love story. Told with pathos and sensitivity, humor and love, the author describes the sheer strength and courage needed and the determination of the human sprit to survive.
