Fifteen minutes before, the room had been sterile and clean. Now there was broken glass everywhere, smashed equipment, small fires, electric sparks showering from slashed wires, smoke, and, he finally saw, movement - a gator racing the length of the room straight towards Lat, moving as fast as it could go.
