The Three Gunsallus Brothers; Fighting for Pennsylvania During The Civil War is a true story based on the lives of John, Samuel, and Taylor Gunsallus. These were ordinary men of their time from Snow Shoe, Pennsylvania who answered the heroic call to fight for their country. What makes their story even more interesting is the fact that they fought for four different regiments representing the great state of Pennsylvania; the 13th Cavalry and 10th, 51st, and 148th Infantry regiments. Their regimental diversity gives the reader a broad aspect of the events going on simultaneously during the war. Follow their lives through the Civil War as the brother’s engage in some of deadliest battles ever fought on American soil; such as Antietam, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, The Wilderness, Spotsylvania, Cold Harbor, and Petersburg.
