It’s pick up this. Pick up that. Do this. And do that. They give you a bunch of sayings and clich s that have entirely no meaning whatsoever. Everything becomes you’ll understand when you grow up. Or they tell you that you better pay attention to what I say because it’s all for your own good. After chores you feel like you just had a boot camp-style workout. That’s when you give them the reply, You just had me so that you could have a servant around. Caution: depending on the parenting style you may or may not have had to duck and miss a slap after that comment.

You know who they are: They are our mothers. And for many of us they’re still mommy-ing today. But what about what they did back then? What about how they raised us? How do some of us get to where we are now through our mothers? How do we accept the reality of the world with which we’re presented through our moms?

Released on the day his mother passed away is a book that details Ron’s adolescent illusion of knowledge. He includes his mom’s parenting phrases, the causes and effect it had, his humorous reflection, and anecdotal stories of how he achieved success and continually experiences a lifetime of understanding from not listening to his Great Mom - until he did.

Two non-profit organizations will receive a portion of all book proceeds for the life of the book: The Brain Aneurysm Foundation and Boys and Girls Club of America.
