This is the compelling true story of PFC USMC Edward T. Evans (Tommy). He was poisoned in Vietnam by Agent Orange. The toxic chemical caused Tommy to have Glioblastoma multiform stage 4 brain cancer which ultimately led his death. His wife, the author of By the Grace of God a Promise Kept, shares what they went through over the years fighting with the VA because of Tommy’s health issues. She tells the story of how, after his death, she fought and won the law suit she filed to get her widow’s benefits. The VA admitted that Agent Orange was the cause of her husband’s death. News of her win in 2011 was broadcast all over the United States. The wives and widows of other Veterans began to contact her about their perils. She was prompted to write this book in order to possibly help others in their fight for justice. Inside these pages you’ll see actual court documents. Not only those of Mrs. Evans’, but some of other Veterans as well. You’ll find letters and pictures from many of those who contacted Sheree, and acknowledgments to the organizations that helped the author over the years. Look for a sequel that will have more stories of those Veterans and their wives struggles. God bless our soldiers. Freedom isn’t free.
