Betrayal

Betrayal is the worst kind of pain inflicted by a person that is loved and trusted by the one who is closest to them.

Martin Luther once wrote; "Each betrayal begins with trust."

Betrayal can be found anywhere. It is not confined to two people.

Family along with friends, work colleagues, recreational groups and also, the church.

Betrayal is defined in the following way.

Trust is earned.

Respect is given.

Loyalty is demonstrated.

Betrayal of any one of these is to lose all three.

Seven characters from the Old Testament are featured to show 'Betrayal' as the force that cost them their life or made them spiritually stronger.

Those included are Abel, Noah, Job, Joseph, Gideon, Samson, David, Jesus, and Judas.

As each of their lives is studied, in the main, one thing that never suffered defeat was their love for Father God.

In return, He provided all they needed including protection from the evil forces. Judas was the exception.
