Karen West is a native born New Zealander, and romance novelist under the pseudonym Kate Westwood. After she completed a Masters Degree from Universtity of Auckland at age 42, she moved to Australia with her family. When she is not writing historic romances, playing boogie-woogie and classical piano, and hiking in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland, you will find her curled up with a cup of hot cocoa, writing and reading poetry, or writing her blog, Girl/Cat/Typewriter.
