After experiencing many challenges bringing up our son Brett who through absolutely no fault of his own was born with a genetic condition called tuberous sclerosis we wanted to share some of the experiences that we as a family have had to encounter over the years as a result of this medical condition.

Tuberous sclerosis and autism are not an illness that is going to get better but can thankfully be managed with medications, patience and understanding most of the time .

I have tried to explain what tuberous sclerosis is so people have a better understanding of the various conditions that can be associated with this disorder.

If you have a child with tuberous sclerosis or some form of autism, intellectual disability, epilepsy or special needs I hope that you enjoy reading this book and gain something from the experiences that we have had to contend with over the years.
