The Making of the Victorian Pride Centre’ explores the background, conception and building of the Victorian Pride Centre.

The first section summarises the historical context of LGBTIQ+ people in Victoria and to a degree Australia and the wider world. The second part is devoted to the extraordinary people who broke through so many seemingly impossible barriers to create what is one of our finest and most welcoming public buildings, aplace where people and organisations can feel positive about their history, and achievements. And of course the tasks that lie ahead.

So many people and organisations have devoted and continue to devote time, expertise, and financial support to the Pride Centre – they are all part of the story.
