Infinitely More Interesting Than a Loaf of Bread: A journey to places, penfriends and purpose
Kathryn Delaney
She’s a mature, mild mannered woman, pleasantly vague and not particularly street-wise. Put her on a plane, send her off to the United States to meet faceless people befriended on the Internet and what does she get? More than she bargained for! Against the judgement of ‘those who know better’, Kathryn embarked on a journey that plunged her straight into the unknown. She assumed the trip would be friendly and civilised but each location brought a vastly different set of circumstances, some of which saw her screaming right out of her comfort zone. The events and incidents range from the hilarious to the horrendous in surroundings that vary from outstanding natural beauty to domestic squalor and decadence. This is a ‘warts and all’ account of Kathryn’s experiences from Alaska to Mexico and several points in between. As with many things in life, she only realised what she had gained after the journey was over.
